Probably would look better with a barrel lit that has lands and grooves
and is not polygonal like the Desert Eagle.

Eight white LEDs were powered by a converted ATX computer power supply's 12V across
four resistors in series to give an even 3V drop across each, producing a properly
balanced array of LEDs that should all give off about 5000K color.
One LED was placed inside the barrel as it did not have a heavy copper wire core to
keep it stiff and in place.
